The IP67 rating of the NIR-6300 Series has been developed to withstand severe wash-downs, excessive dust environments, and to protect it against the effects of immersion. Its rugged stainless steel enclosure makes it ideal for harsh environments, high temperatures, and aggressive food grade applications.
IR Analyzer Options
The Harsh Environment Analyzer’s standard features include an integrated liquid or air vortex cooling system that is rated from 0°C to 85°C; additional options are available to exceed this operating range. A number of options, depending upon your specific application, are available contingent upon your environmental operating temperature and whether or not it is a food grade application.

Near Infrared Reflectance
Sensortech filters a halogen light source into a series of pulses of specific wavelengths. The filtered beam of wavelengths is directed onto the surface of your product and measures the backscattered energy against a reference source. The constituent being measured, typically moisture, is calculated through a specialized amplitude ratio algorithm providing a precision measurement based on your products molecular structure.

The IR Series optical design provides a foundation of measurement stability and reliabiliy. High precision tolerances of machined parts and alignment of optical components enusure optimal performance.
- Single-Point, Dual-Purpose Detector
The long established Quadrabeam Principle combines the measurement light path and the direct (prime) light path onto a single detector eliminating variations due to aging and operating temperature more effectively than expansive matched dual detector products. The large surface area detector (10mm sq.) minimizes error due to product height variation.
- Collimated Energy Source
Effective use of power dramatically increases optical efficiency enabling the instrument to run significantly cooler. The reduced operating temparature inherently reduces stress on electronics and power supplies, increases the life of the instrument and further reduces costs associated with added temperature conditioning.
- Optimized Electronic Signal Conditioning
Oversampling, 16-bit resolution and multiple-level digital filtering minimize signal noise. Proprietary design and state of the art electronic technology further enhances instrument performance.

Local Moisture Display
HMI interfaces or Remote Digital Displays are mounted at the point of measurement and provides a stand-alone intelligent interactive interface to the IR Series analyzer or a visual indication of your processes moisture control status.
The NIR-6000 Series analyzers include a proprietary PC based software package that offers a detailed view of your production process from a desktop or laptop computer.

All IR products manufactured by Sensortech Systems, Inc. are warranted against defects in material an workmanship for a period of two years from the date of shipment. In the event any product manufactured by Sensortech Systems, Inc. proves to be defective during the warranty period, it will be repaired free of charge.
